Ran around with Howard. He was a real character. We went to the same church- First Baptist Watsonville.

I remember Howard from gym class in high school. He was always laughing, and kidding. We didn't have any classes together, other than gym, but we had fun in that class. I never saw him after high school, and didn't know of his passing until I joined this site. Rest in peace my friend in you eternal sleep.

Howard and I lived just a shout from each other. We both enlisted in the Naval reserve in Nov. 1963 . Howard and I were friends except for a little disagreement we had. I remember Howard had transfered into the Marines from the navy. I also seen a story and picture of him while I was in vietnam in the Stars and stripes. He was brave doing his job in the marines ! I sorry to see that he passed away.  Mel Phillips

Howard and I were buddys at Salsipuedes.

He said he was Cherokee indian. In the 7th grade since we always carried really sharp boy scout knives,we cut our thumbs on lunch hour, and became blood brothers.

That was pretty cool at the tme.
