I am sorry to hear of Steve's passing. We played a lot baseball together, both in and out of school. We were friends and I will miss him.

Steve was a good friend of mine and our friendship started through little league sports and then into Jr. High at E.A. Hall and then on to Watsonville High School.  He was a really nice guy and always had a smile on his face.  Good athlete too! Especially baseball.  He batted lefty but threw righty! He was very good.

I always enjoyed seeing Steve at the reunions. It was always as if no time had passed and he was still the same nice guy with nothing but good things to say about everyone.  I will miss you seeing you dear friend.  My heart is empty as I write this but my mind is full of lots of wonderful memories shared with you over many years.  Rest in Peace Steve.

I gathered a few pics I could find over the years and posted below.

I'm sorry to hear this! I've haven't seen him since high school, but got to say my hello's at the reunion.  We had  Drivers Ed and typing classes together, stupid classes I know,  and we always made it a competition. My sincere condolences to the family!

Steve and I both lived near MacQuiddy school and, depending on the season, there were usually baseball, basketball or football games during the weekends and holidays.  We were both on the little league all star team that played an epic 16 inning game against Santa Cruz, which we won!  Lots of good memories.

So sorry to hear about Steve's passing. I first met Steve in highschool. We sat next to each other in Mr. Miller's advisory. So, 4 years built a strong friendship that lasted until now. We wouldn't see each other except at the reunions, but it was if no time had passed. Steve, you will be missed, RIP.

Steve's parents, Kay & Tom, we good friends with my parents for many years.  His parents were always bringing berries to my parents.  I knew Steve from a young age.  We played baseball and basketball in our youth.  I looked forward to seeing him at reunions, always very friendly.  I spent time talking with him at our last reunion in September.  Always sad to lose someone; I'm sad Steve is gone.  Rest in Peace, Steve.  My condolences to his brothers - Marv and Buddie.

I think my father went to HS with Steve's father.  They were the class of 1935!  My dad talked to Tom every time he walked by Tom's house.  Steve always had a bunch of friends in front of his house after school.  it was a great place to hang out.  Probert- I think we had French together and Steve had the class before us so Steve would give us the test questions before we went to class.  Probably helped me pass French.  I've known Steve since grammar school.  I'm  really going to miss him. He was a great guy.

As a 4th grade nine year old Steve came to the Red Sox Minor Little League baseball team . We'd already practiced pre-season a few times before coach Mr. Pironie brought Steve to the practice diamond at the old (Navy Base) Freedom School. I remember asking coach if he (Steve) "was any good ?". Coach gave me a look that demanded an attitude adjustment but said nothing . It turned out that Steve became probably the best player on the Red Sox that year. Rest in peace Mr. Mine.
