Tom was in my third grade class at Mintie White! In later years, I did not know him well until our daughters were friends. His daughter Emily and my daughter Christina were junior acolytes at All Saints Church. They also visited Kay Spencer, an artist friend, who lived in the old Green Valley School. Kay taught both girls to knit! I was sorry to hear of Tom's passing. Nancy Roark Ruiz DePuy
Met Tom in the 5th grade. We grew up living about 2 blocks away from each other. We were at each others houses every day after school from the 5th to the 8th grade. Tom would help me fold papers for my paper route. After High School Graduation we started our construction careers together. He had a great collection of model cars that he had built. We taught each other how to drive by sneaking out his Dads Jeep. Never did get caught, thank goodness because his Dad would have tanned our hides. Later Tom built a roadster, and took 1st place in the Oakland Roadster Show. Made the cover of Street Rod Magazine, and he was so proud of that. He was close to completing the restoration and cutomization of a '65 Chevy truck, that his daughter Emily completed and now is showing at various car shows. He was a great friend and is greatly missed.
