The "Three Stooges" Challenge!

Dear Class of 65 Classmates,

The Class of 65 continues to offer scholarships in the honor of Norm Haney. These scholarships have been offered to WUHS recipients who will be the first in their family to attend college. Last year we donated two $2000 scholarships to a male and female recipient.

The "Three Stooges" would like to challenge our Class of 65! We are hoping to raise $4000 again this year but we're currently barely at $1000.

The "Three Stooges" have offered to match your donations to help make our goal of $4000 for a limited time!

For Example: If you make a donation of $50, they will match if with another $50 to make it a total of $100!

Why donate to the Norm Haney Scholarship?

1. It gives you a chance to show genorosity and give back to Watsonville High School!

2. It gives two young individuals the opportunity to be the first in their family to attend College!

3. You commitment will make a big difference in their lives!

4. You will improve the community where we grew up as we give back!

5. You will honor the memory of a wonderful teacher, friend and community member who made a huge difference in our lives.

Please help us make a difference in the lives of two deserving students, honor our friend and teacher Norm Haney, and give back to our school and to our community!

Please send checks made out to "Jim Lopes" to the following address:

Three great athletes from WHS in the 60's.
John Sipin (64), Dave Mercer (65) and Ralph Ramierez (63)
These 3 were the driving force of WHS basketball team competing in the Tournament of Champions in 1963.

"Santa Claus" came out of retirement this year. My dad played Santa for years at convalescent hospitals, children hospital wards and at various churches. My mom gave me dad's outfit and told me its time for me to carry on the tradition.

It made my mom very happy and I'm sure my dad is smiling down from heaven. The innocent reaction from children was priceless and a real joy for me!

Violet was born on December 22nd 2017 so we celebrated her 1st birthday! How much fun!

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

Violet Jean came finally came home on Christmas Eve with her brother Nash and Mom and Dad. She wanted to get home before Santa Claus so she could celebrate her first Christmas.
What a wonderful Christmas gift to our family. She was born December 22nd.

Grandson Nash sitting on Santa's lap with a little uncertainty. One certainty is that we're waiting for grand-daughter "Violet Jean" to join us and make it the best Christmas present! She was due December 10th and it's now like waiting for Santa to come when we were kids!
