I then opened a clothing store called "Tahoe Clothing Company".
Ten years later I decided to leave the mountain and I entered into the Homebuilding Industry. I worked in that field for 26 years and I retired in 2006 when my company was purchased by Emarr Dev. Co. of Dubai.
I married my bride, Barbara, in 1988 and we have been married 26 years and we have two great kids.

Taken from Rebecca Garcia's Facebook post today: Congratulations Rebecca on making a difference!

Cabrillo College CAP Program had its Awards Ceremony last night. CAP assists low-income students in preparing for higher education by providing after-school tutoring, academic counseling, leadership workshops, and parent education. Ten sixth grade students from seven middle schools in Santa Cruz County are selected and are supported in middle school, high school, and at Cabrillo. In Watsonville, E.A.Hall, Lakeview, Pajaro, and Rolling Hills Middle Schools participate. I had the honor of presenting a certificate and medallion to ten students from Rolling Hills Middle School. Also, recognized were Seniors who are graduating and will be attending Cabrillo or another college/university. For those attending Cabrillo, they will receive a $2,000 scholarship. Congratulations to all.

Memories from 1964 football season and of our dear friend and great athlete Joe Richards. Miss you Joe!

This game was on Friday the 13th and it was a really a bad day for me as I had surgery on my right knee back at Watsonville Hospital. I would have loved to have played with Joe and the team.

Congratulations on achieving our goal of $4000 for the Norm Haney Scholarship fund!

We made it right at the wire thanks to the following generous classmates who came through when we needed it:
John Dorey
John Korach
Cathy Small
Drew Johnston

Thank you to the many other Class of 65 generous donors who made this possible. We now will give two $2000 scholarships to a deserving male and female Watsonville High School graduate who will be the first to attend college in their family!

The event will be on May 21st at 6:30 p.m. It would be great to attend and show your support! More details to follow in the near future.

I am so proud to be part of this and a member of the WHS Class of 65! I don't believe any other class has offered a scholarship in the name of one of their teachers!

The Three Stooges say thank you to all! We're making a difference to two deserving individuals, we're giving back to our community and we're honoring a teacher who made a difference in our lives!

Go Go Watsonville High School Class of 1965!

Grandson Nash sitting on Santa's lap with a little uncertainty. One certainty is that we're waiting for grand-daughter "Violet Jean" to join us and make it the best Christmas present! She was due December 10th and it's now like waiting for Santa to come when we were kids!
